Waste & Recycling

Garbage & Recyling Pick-up

Effective February 26, 2025, all garbage pick-up in Glenboro will be as follows:

  • TUESDAYS – Residential and Commercial Garbage Pick-up
  • WEDNESDAYS – Recycling Pick-up
  • FRIDAYS –  Business Pick-up

All yard waste must be bagged as this helps to control dust and mold that causes health concerns. It will not be picked up if placed loosely in containers.

Due to extensive provincial regulations, composting is not available at the Waste Transfer Station. All yard waste picked up will be placed in the household garbage bins at the Waste Transfer Station which in turn adds to transfer costs. As a result, residents and ratepayers are strongly encouraged to compost grass clippings, etc., to help keep costs to a minimum.

Residents and ratepayers may continue to haul DRY leaves, sticks, etc., to the Transfer Station and place them in the pit.
