Public Works Utility Person – Part Time

The Municipality invites written applications for a “Seasonal Public Works Utilityperson.”  As this position is mostly weather dependent, the ideal candidate will be able and willing to work a flexible work week consisting of a minimum of 2 8-hour days per week starting as soon as possible until  September 4th, 2026, with the opportunity for additional hours at the discretion of the Public Works Supervisor.

 Under the supervision of the Public Works Supervisor, the successful applicant’s duties will include operating equipment and vehicles including, but not limited to: commercial grass cutting equipment, garbage truck, tractor with loader plus various general maintenance duties as assigned.

Applicants must have a valid Manitoba Driver’s License and be physically able to lift approximately 50lbs.  The successful applicant will be required to present a copy of a current Criminal Record Check, a Vulnerable Persons Abuse Registry Check and a recent abstract of their driver’s license. Applicants must also have a cell phone and CSA approved steel-toed footwear.
