Stockton Ferry

The Stockton Ferry on the Assiniboine River northwest of Glenboro, Manitoba. The ferry is blue with white railings and operates on an overhead cable system.

The Stockton Ferry is located on the Assiniboine River approximately 12 km west of Glenboro, then north for 3 km, east 1 km and north 2 km. This is the last operational ferry of its type in Manitoba.

Ferry Operation

  • The Stockton Ferry operates during spring, summer, and fall. (weather and water levels permitting)
  • Days/Hours:  Monday to Friday: 7:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. Closed on weekends and statutory holidays.
  • Please note that the Ferry may be grounded at any time due to low water levels or unforeseen circumstances.
  • Services terminate for the season on the last day of October (or earlier, depending on weather conditions).
