THE IN-HOME FOOD WASTE DIVERSION SOLUTIONFOODCYC
The Municipality is exploring a pilot program in partnership with Food Cycle Science to offer FoodCyclers to
participating residents at a subsidized cost, with the goal of evaluating this innovative food waste diversion
solution within the community. Designed for quiet, compact, and odorless operation, the FoodCycler
processes food waste and transforms it into a dry, nutrient-rich byproduct suitable for fertilizing gardens or
enhancing compost.
During this phase of the program, program participants are asked to track their FoodCycler usage for 12 weeks
and complete a survey to assess the feasibility of this program in the community.
Did you know that food waste makes up the majority of household waste, and when put in the landfill it is a
major contributor to greenhouse gas emissions? By participating in the FoodCycler™ Pilot Program, you can
keep food waste out of the landfill – reducing your carbon footprint and supporting the Municipality of
Glenboro South Cypress’ sustainability goals. Another great benefit is that you will now be able to compost
during the winter months!
1. Purchase a Municipally subsidized FoodCycler™ Eco 3 (3.5L) for only: $599 $200 + tax ($224.00)

2. Track the number of FoodCycler cycles you run during a period of 12 weeks. Complete a survey to
provide your tracking data and your experience using the FoodCycler™.
